5. “The beauty of the seasons of the year in poetry” As usual Santa Claus had so much work to do this year, so many kilometers, so many letters,…, and more and more children to visit. Astonishing, he didn’t forget about anyone and he even had time to visit our school!
Friday, 22nd December 2007 was a very special day in our school. From the very morning Christmas atmosphere was filling the air. On the occasion of forthcoming Christmas after the second lesson a very solemn assembly took place. The students reminded the story of Jesus Christ’s Birth. In the middle of the scene there was a crib where people with gifts and wishes for Maria, Joseph and little Jesus came to. The Play was enriched with beautiful carols sang by the students of the particular forms.
Finally, the representative of the school Student Council offered beautiful wishes to the head teacher, teachers, school staff, students and parents present at the assembly. The whole school staff was given children handmade Christmas cards. Also the head teacher offered her Christmas and New Year’s wishes to everyone. After the assembly all the students and teachers went back to classrooms and had a “Christmas Eve Supper” during which they offered themselves wishes, share the wafer, tasted Christmas dishes and sang carols. More pictures in the gallery. On the 22nd January 2007 our school was visited by unusual guests. They were Grandmothers and Grandfathers of the first form students. The children invited them to celebrate Grandfather and Grandmother’s Day and to express love and respect for them. By means of beautiful recitations and choral singing they showed how much they value their grandparents. After the show there was the time for presents. The children gave handmade cards to their grandparents. There were moments of tears and emotions. There was no lack of commemorative photos and sweet food and drinks sponsored by one of the grandparents. After the celebration happy Grandmothers and Grandfathers went home, perhaps to continue celebrating and spend together this special day. On the 26th January in our school the second stage of Christmas Carols’ Contest took place. Ist place – Adraianna Szajna and Angelika Kwolek IInd place – Karolina Zbylut. The jury also awarded Dagmara Zajdel and Klaudia Wojnar honourable mentions. Congratulations!
