5th Family Day and Comenius Festival
We celebrated 5th Family Day and Comenius Day on 2nd June. It was an opportunity to present our children’s successes in various competitions.
All the winners were given diplomas and honourable mentions. Participants of English Song Contest sang their songs, and then we saw a puppet performance “Demeter and Cora”. Then we watched a computer presentation devoted to all activities which have been undertaken in the second year of the programme. We also listened to a report of the project meeting in Finland “The four seasons of the year” it’s the motto of our project.
Pupils of the fifth forms prepared a computer presentation entitled “Seasonal proverbs “which was made during Computer Studies.

The next stage of the festival was prepared by our pupils’ parents; we could taste dishes cooked by them. Parents and tutors helped pupils to prepare stands and serve dishes typical for each of partner country. The first and the second forms served Polish dishes, the third forms served Greek dishes and the fourth forms served dishes of French Cuisine.
Pupils of the sixth forms - 6a and 6b - focused on Finnish and British Cuisine and served respectively Finnish and British dishes.
Additionally, there was a possibility to buy home-made cakes, French bread and other delicious food prepared by our mums.
In the afternoon we had a disco and everyone had a great time.
